PreCanSkate

PreCanSkate is a learn-to-skate program for young skaters 3-6 years of age that teaches the absolute basics of skating. It is a 30 minute preschool on-ice program for young skaters, where skaters will take part in skating activities that incorporate numbers, letters, shapes, and colours. Skaters will learn the introductory fundamentals skills needed to take part in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity.

PreSTARSkate

PreSTARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in a group lesson format. PreSTARSkate is our transition program between the CanSkate and STARSkate programs. Skills are taught in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. Skaters learn how to practice independently, a skill needed when they transition to STARSkate.

PreCanPowerSkate

PreCanPowerSkate is designed for young skaters 3-6 years of age who may not be ready for CanPowerSkate Level 1. Pre-Power helps develop basic skating abilities in a power skating-specific environment. The curriculum is presented in three progressive levels complete with its own awards to encourage participation and motivate skaters. (30 minute classes)

CanSkate

CanSkate is a dynamic 45 minute learn-to-skate program for skaters 6+ years of age that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Based on Sport Canada's long term athlete development (LTAD) principles, CanSkate centers on physical literacy and the fundamental skills needed to take part in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity. Skaters move through 6 levels of agility, balance, and control skills.

STARSkate

STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. This program teaches figure skating skills in group and private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives.
